Knit for Nowt Gifts

We were thrilled to receive a fabulous delivery from the charity Knit for Nowt today.

For people unfamiliar with this charity, they have a skilled and dedicated team of kniters and crochet experts who create the most amazing characters that mental health professionals can use to support young people in their therapy sessions.

Among their creations are the worry monsters, which we use with children of all ages to help them articulate their emotions and we use them as a medium for role play, allowing children to express and explore emotionally challenging situations without the need for verbal explanation. This approach not only facilitates a better understanding of their circumstances but also assists us in developing tailored plans that cater to their individual needs.

We're incredibly grateful for the incredible work of Knit for Nowt, as their contributions make a significant difference to the lives of children we support.

Which is your favourite?

As for us. Well its really difficult and our favourites honestly change as fast as we can say "Whats the weather going to be today in Yorkshire". We've gone from the really specicial finger puppets to "Toothy" the growly monster. The next day we take a particular liking to "Flipper" who's a very special monster who can change is facial features by flicking over the next leaf of facial expression. But hold on. Then there's the "Twins" who are the non identical twins (they are identical but different sizes so they are great for helping children who may be struggling with weight). The great thing about all of our characters is that no matter what emotional problems children may be experiencing we have a character that will help.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou Knit For Knowt :-)
